Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. I don't play tennis but the tennis area is used frequently and sometimes it's full with players and those receiving lessons

The tennis courts are great. They are usually kept clean by park staff. There is even a Pro that provides lessons at a very good price. He's a seasoned pro too that can teach anyone at any level. I'd recommend these courts to anyone.

Tennis courts need resurfacing. Too many loud cars tear up and down the street.

Danny Fernandez 5 years ago

The courts are in perfect condition and some of them have shade! Only down side is that it can get very crowded since there's only 9 courts available. Most of the time 1 is reserved so it's really 8.

Play here weekly during the season. Great courts uptown. They check for permits during the season, so the courts don't get crowded and you're not fighting for courts. The court surface are all pretty good and well maintained. Some of the nets could use some tension.
